They were previously featured in Vogue for a photo taken of them and their relatives atop the base of the empty Columbus statue in Detroit. In Detroit, they co-founded a music festival called Vibes With The Tribes and a market they founded called The Waawiyaatanong NDN Market, both aimed at serving and uplifting Native artists.
In 2021, they began developing a documentary called The Red Ghetto project, a story about the Native neighborhood of Detroit from the 1940-1970s. They recently began developing a project expanding on the market called The Flicker Exchange, a Native artist exchange between The Great Lakes and Northern California.
Currently they are collaborating under SNAG magazine as a field reporter and journalist. They split their time between California and Michigan to better learn and grow in her vision of starting a communal trade network and sustainable community artist hub.
They have written for The Nation, been featured in the MetroTimes, Riverwise Magazine, Planet Detroit, Record Eagle, and featured on CBS News. They are also a 2022 Kresge Fellow.
They frequently travel between Detroit and The Bay Area, working with several established indigenous artists.
